Nov 15, 2021 · The feeder went off at 6:35 and roughly 5 minutes later the deer eased down the hill and onto our oat patch. It was the deer we were after. He eased his way to the feeder and after some brief discussion my dad decided to shoot him. At around 6:45 he knocked him down with his 240 weatherby dead as a door nail.

Shot didn't bother the deer, 7 does and 5, 2 year old bucks ran about a 100 yards and came right back to the back porch feeder. A coyote came in to get a drink about 5pm and I had to hold Dax off. He's been bloodthirsty all year.
